Scopus Indexing Status Update
Beginning November 2025, the International Journal on Culture, History, and Religion (IJCHR) is no longer indexed in Scopus.
This change follows the decision of Scopus after a formal Source Re-evaluation, the results of which were issued on October 30, 2025. As part of Scopus’ periodic quality assurance process, journals are re-evaluated to ensure adherence to their indexing standards and criteria. Following this review, Scopus has discontinued the indexing of IJCHR. It should be noted that despite being discontinued in the indexing, APCs of published articles are still non-refundable because the journal offers publication and not indexing itself because Scopus/Elsevier is a separate entity handling the indexing.
We acknowledge this development with transparency and continue to uphold our dedication to academic integrity, ethical publishing practices, and continuous improvement. The journal remains fully operational, and all previously published articles retain their DOI registration and accessibility through our platform.
We thank our authors, reviewers, and readers for their trust and continued support as we work toward strengthening the journal’s quality and future indexing prospects.
