Language Strategies and Digital Media: Influencing Public Perception Amid Modern Political Confrontations

Abstract

At the current stage of social development, political conflicts with ideological underpinnings are increasingly attracting public attention. Public opinion should be as free as possible from manipulative political influences. This will contribute to the sustainable development of civil society in Ukraine. The aim of this study is to provide an in-depth analysis of the phenomena of communication and speech in contemporary political conflicts and their impact on social dynamics, particularly the level of public trust in the media. The article reflects essential aspects of the influence of mass media and political discourse on the process of public awareness of political conflicts. Key trends in the representation of political conflicts in the modern information and communication space have been identified—the minimization of content in public political speeches, the use of emotional narratives, and the intensification of influence on the electorate through the demonstration of promising strategies. The results of a study of the most significant political speeches of the last fifty years have been analyzed, revealing their gradual simplification in form and content and their adaptation to the audience's ability to understand the essence of the message. The importance of social networks and other innovative means of information and communication for increasing public political activity and involvement in the electoral process has been established. The functionality of social media in terms of public representation of information and grouping of voters into separate categories has been determined. The study determines the significance of political conflicts as catalysts of socio-economic dynamics.
