Abstract

Karl Marx wrote in Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy

of Right (1843) that the criticism of religion is the prerequisite of all criticisms. One’s initiation to the practice is to begin with analysis and judgement of the fundamental truths and philosophy of a religion. As a result, it happens that the critics’ most critical attack on a culture is often pointed to religion. Those who launched their offensives to religion became very popular, earning instant fame. Some of these critics were philosophers, political figures, scholars, scientists who were not after fame, but who took it upon themselves to write a critical discourse about the ideas, validity, concept or the practice of religion. Here are some of the most famous criticisms against religion
